I received an e-mail today from the organizers of Ohio LinuxFest, the largest Linux/Open Source conference in the midwest. Registration is now open!
Ohio LinuxFest 2007 Registration Open
Ohio LinuxFest Reminder
Just a note for the fellow mid-western folks that the Ohio LinuxFest is happening this September 30 in Columbus, Ohio. The free registration deadline closes this September 22, so be sure to take a moment and sign up!
I live just a stone’s throw from the convention center, so if you have any questions regarding where to stay and the like, feel free to email me at jason AT apress.com. In the meantime, I’ll list a few of my favorite area restaurants:
Mitchell’s Steakhouse
Likely the swankiest place in the city, so at least presentable attire required, but the drinks and food are fantastic.
The North Market
Located just across the street from the convention center, this isn’t a restaurant per se, but rather an assemblage of interesting stalls including everything delis, bakeries, pizzerias, florists, and everything else you might expect in a market.
Barley’s Brewing Co.
Also located just across from the convention center, Barley’s offers a great selection of beer and decent food.
