I’m sequestered in the press room this morning catching up on email and looking forward to what promises to be a great keynote address by Richard Wirt, a Senior Fellow at Intel. He’ll be talking about grid computing in enterprise environments, which surely will have some sort of Linux-related slant to it.
This afternoon Nationwide’s (whose HQ is right down the street from me in Columbus, Ohio) Chief Enterprise Architect Guru Vasudeva will be talking about how the company used virtualization and Linux to shave millions from its IT expenditure.
Recapping yesterday, the show was absolutely packed, one of the largest turnouts I’ve seen in perhaps the ten LinuxWorld conferences I’ve attended over the years. The Apress booth was swamped all day, not only did we give away quite a few t-shirts and books by way of our now infamous “wheel of fortune”, but we also capped the day with a random giveaway of a licensed Dilbert print.
All said, the show is rocking, and I hope to see you down here!
