IBM’s DeveloperWorks recently published an article titled “Seven Great PHP IDEs Compared”. While it doesn’t actually offer a feature comparison, the article nonetheless provides currently IDE-less developers with some great insight into the most prominent PHP IDEs.
A few weeks back I switched from PHPEclipse to Zend’s PHP IDE (also based on Eclipse), and have noticed an immediate boost in productivity. PHP IDE is easily the best PHP-specific IDE I’ve encountered thus far, and believe me, I’ve tried them all.
