Andre Lewis, Co-author of the forthcoming book, “Beginning Google Maps Applications with Rails and Ajax” has recently launched a website which serves as a community-driven repository for information about WIFI spots around the US. Pretty fantastic stuff, was created using Rails, the Google Maps API, and an intelligent dose of Ajax. It’s starting to garner a fair amount of attention, with CNET blogging about it over the weekend, and several hundred locations already added to the site.
