I stumbled across a handy utility called Boxes. It’s a text filter that lets you easily create ASCII text boxes. There are also some ready-made illustrations that can contain your text, such as a dog (see screenshot).
It’s main use is boxing comments within code (including HTML) but it’s also fun to play around with straight from the the command-line. You can use it within your .bashrc file to create a killer login message!
